The combination instrument has a display area (2), which is a part of a function module (20). A similar pointer is provided, which is a part of another function module of the combination instrument. The function module is provided in a mounted manner relative to another function module in an insert direction parallel to the level of the display area. An insertion guide (4) is provided for mounting of the function modules.
