PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, reducing leakage of a transfer current from a pre-fixing guide member and a post-fixing guide member, and preventing malfunction due to an electric part damaged by static electricity and electromagnetic noise. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus includes: a fixing part 18 for fixing a toner image on a paper sheet; a pair of pre-fixing guides 19 for guiding the paper sheet to the fixing part 18; a discharge unit 23 for discharging the paper sheet on which the toner image is fixed to the outside of a machine; and a separating plate 20 for guiding the paper sheet discharged from the fixing part 18 to a delivery unit 23, wherein the paired pre-fixing guides 19 and/or the separating plate 20 is grounded through a resistor 51, and the apparatus includes a pair of electrodes 52 for discharging to the ground when the potential of the paired pre-fixing guides 19 and/or the separating plate 20 exceeds a predetermined value.
