A composition for injection including a propofol is provided to be administered plentifully, to maintain transparency during a retention period, to be stable thermodynamically and to be sterilized using a high-pressure steam. A composition for injection comprises a propofol of 1 - 2 % weight/volume(% w/v), a poloxamer 188 of 6 - 15 % weight/volume, a macrogol 15 hydroxy stearate of 0.2 - 1 % weight/volume and an edetate of 0.0001% - 0.001% weight/volume.
