PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding contact tip having high wear-resistance. SOLUTION: A thermal radiation coating film 20 containing a material that is high in average thermal radiation emissivity in all wave-length regions or a material that is high in thermal radiation emissivity in a far-infrared region is applied to the whole of the outer surface of a welding contact tip 1. It is preferable that the thermal radiation coating film 20 specifically contains one or more components of TiO<SB>2</SB>, Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, SiC, and SiO<SB>2</SB>.
