PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce size of a transmission system when transmitting radio energy to a moving body by detecting the position of the moving body. SOLUTION: The system 1 is for performing radio transmission of energy obtained by solar light generation to a vehicle T. This includes a solar battery 2 laid out on a road surface, a power transmission device 3 which transmits power generated by the solar battery 2 as radio energy R, a power receiving device 4 which is attached to the vehicle T to receive the radio energy R, and a detecting device 5 which detects distribution of power generated by the solar battery 2 on the road surface. Under this constitution of the system 1, solar light which is received by the solar battery 2 is shielded by the vehicle T when the vehicle T exists on the road, power generated at the position corresponding to the vehicle position in the solar battery 2 decreases, therefore, the power transmission device 3 detects the vehicle position based on power distribution detected by a detecting device 5, thus transmitting the radio energy R to the vehicle position.
