PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device which extends a case for storing a motor in accordance with the thickness of a front door with a simple structure and can be shared by many types of game machines. SOLUTION: A motor 10 for driving a cam 5 of a locking mechanism is stored in a case 12 and a pipe 13 is combined with the case 12 so that it can be freely extended/contracted. A slit 23 is formed on a surrounding wall of the pipe 13 and a stopper 25 of the case 12 is fitted to the slit 23. The slit 23 is provided with a plurality of engaging parts 24 and one of the engaging parts 24 is selectively engaged with the stopper 25 by turning of the pipe 13 to join the case 12 and the pipe 13 so that they cannot extend/contract. A projection 27 is provided to the case 12 so that it freely appears/disappears and the projection 27 at a projection position is fitted to a long groove 26 of the pipe 13 to regulate turning of the pipe 13.
