A multi-channel audio system and its audio output method, and an audio output method of a TV receiver are provided to solve a problem that a central speaker occupies a space in front of a user in forming a multi-channel audio system, which is not good aesthetically. An AV receiver(608) decodes and processes a multi-channel audio stream and separately outputs audio signals of each audio channel. A TV receiver(600) receives an audio signal of a central channel among the audio signals separately outputted from the AV receiver via an external audio channel and outputs it to an internal speaker(606). A multi-channel speaker system(610) receives the other remaining audio signals than the audio signal of the central channel among the audio channel signals separately outputted from the AV receiver, and outputs them. The multi-channel speaker system is a 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 channel speaker system without a central speaker.
