<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication base station capable of increasing a distance between a base station and an object or a terminal station, and to provide a communication system using the communication base station. <P>SOLUTION: A direction division double base station has a transmission circuit 1, an antenna 8, a reception circuit 2, and a circulator. The transmission circuit 1 is connected to two circulators 4, 5 via a first hybrid coupler 3 distributing each transmission wave to two waves. The antenna 8 is connected to other ports of the two circulators 4, 5 via a second hybrid coupler 6 coupling the two distributed transmission waves and demultiplexing a reception wave to two waves.
