Chemomechanical production of functional colloids

A method for the chemomechanical manufacture of a functional colloid, in which particles are subjected to mechanical reactive comminution in a dispersant in the presence of a modifying agent, wherein the modifying agent is at least partially chemically bound to the comminuted colloid particles. Also disclosed are colloid particles formed by the above method.
