PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine/dryer capable of efficiently cleaning a dust filter whenever or only when necessary, regardless of the operation state of the washing machine/dryer. SOLUTION: The washing machine/dryer has: an inside tank 6 for storing the laundry 5; an outside tank 4 for housing the inside tank 6 freely rotatably; a first driving source 7 for rotating and driving the inside tank 6; a dust filter 9 for catching lint or the like produced by the laundry 5 when a dryer is operated; and a dust removing body 17 which is brought into sliding contact with the dust filter 9 to remove the caught lint and the like. The dust proof body 17 is driven by a second driving source 18 different from the first driving source 7. Since the dust removing body 17 can be brought into sliding contact with the dust filter 9 with most appropriate timing, such as just after the drying operation and at speed most appropriate to dust removal regardless of the operation of the inside tank 6, the washing machine/dryer which has excellent durability, can reliably remove the lint and the like, and has excellent drying efficiency can be provided.
