<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller with which variation in a quantity of toner to be conveyed can be suppressed and a satisfactory developing process can be consequently achieved, and to provide a method for easily judging it. <P>SOLUTION: The developing roller 1 has a covering layer 5 for carrying toner thereon, and forms a visible image on a photoreceptor drum 12 by supplying the photoreceptor drum 12 with the toner carried on the covering layer 5, wherein the JIS 10-point average roughness (Rz) of the surface 3f of an elastic layer 3 forming the covering layer 5 is in the range of 4 to 10μm and its relative-specular glossiness Gs (85°) is in the range of 1.5 to 5%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
