PLANE LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND GUIDE LIGHT PROVIDED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane light source device which can control a deterioration of a luminance of a light guide plate as a whole and can reduce a luminance unevenness of the light guide plate and increase a luminance of a central part of the light guide plate.

SOLUTION: The plane light source device is provided with a light source part and a light guide plate 21 to face the light source part. The light source part has a plurality of LEDs 1 to 22 arranged in series. The light guide plate 21 has an incident light surface 23 where light from each of the LEDs and a light emitting surface 24 to emit the incident light entering from the incident surface. Gaps between each of the LEDs in the central part of a line of the LEDs are made narrower than the gaps between the LEDs in both end parts of the line of LEDs. A distances D between a central part in a lengthwise direction of the incident surface 23 extending to correspond with the line of LEDs and a central part of the line of the corresponding LEDs is made shorter than the distance E between the both end parts in a lengthwise direction of the incident surface 23 and the both end parts of the corresponding LEDs.
