PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration for recording only an audio signal of a program on CD-R or CD-RW. SOLUTION: The optical disk recorder to write the information into the optical disk inserted to the device, is equipped with: a reception means for receiving a recording instruction to record a selected broadcasting signal; a means for discriminating the kind of the optical disk being inserted to the device when the recording instruction is received by the reception means; and a writing means for recording only the audio signal which is contained in video/audio signal of the above broadcasting signal, on the CD medium when determined that the writable CD medium is inserted.
