PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash which can hold even a large transparent plate body in a wooden sash casing without enlarging the same, is simple in structure, small in the number of parts, to reduce in total window weight, and facilitates assembly thereof, and to provide such a wooden window. SOLUTION: The sash 12 has flat bars 32 arranged along internal edges of stiles 26 and top and bottom rails 28, as members for holding double glazing glass 16, and therefore it is small in variation of a function of holding the double glazing glass 16. Since the flat bars 32 hold the double glazing glass 16, a cross sectional area of each of the stiles 26 and the top and bottom rails 28 is reduced corresponding to a cross sectional area that has shared a function of holding the double glazing glass by the stiles 26 and the top and bottom rails 28, which leads to an enlarged daylighting area of the double glazing glass 16. Further according to the sash 12 of the embodiment, the double glazing glass 16 is held by the flat bars 32 via setting blocks 30A, 30B, 30C, 30D and elastically supported by the same, and therefore edges of the double glazing glass 16 are not marred, which provides the sash 12 having higher structural reliability.
