A method for managing A-interface circuit includes that: downward-shifting A-interface circuit management function from MSC Server to MGW, after MGW receives a request for allocating the circuit resource of A-interface circuit for UE from MSC Server, allocates A-interface circuit for UE from A-interface circuit resource of the local area configuration according to the circuit selection reference information carried in the request. Also, the present invention provides a A-interface circuit management system and MGW. The present invention can reduce the complexity of A-interface circuit management; and it can realize to share A-interface circuit resource in the specific network structure, improve the reuse rate of A-interface circuit, reduce the complexity of A-interface operation.
