PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material which contributes to effective use of timber, and achieves warping prevention and weight reduction. SOLUTION: The floor material has a composite substrate 1 which is obtained by laminating a substrate upper layer 20 on a substrate plywood layer 10 via a substrate intermediate layer 15. The substrate plywood layer 10 includes a low-specific-gravity veneer made of a low-specific-gravity material having a specific gravity of 0.45 or less. The substrate intermediate layer 15 is formed of a synthetic resin film which has an adjusted thickness of 0.1 to 1.0 mm. The substrate upper layer 20 is formed of a woody fiber plate.
