PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve for forming a glass tube, with which it becomes possible to form a glass tube excellent in dimensional accuracy of the circularity or the like. SOLUTION: In the sleeve 10 for forming a glass tube, in which a cylindrical body part 11 where molten glass G is supplied in a ribbon state and a head part 12 having a truncated cone shape, wherefrom molten glass G cylindrically wound along the outer surface of the body part 11 is drawn out, are integrally formed, a diameter increasing part 14, where the outer diameter becomes larger toward the head part 12, is provided in a part or the whole part in the longitudinal direction of the body part 11.
