PORTABLE TERMINAL, IC CARD, PASSCODE GENERATION PROGRAM, AND PASSCODE GENERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal capable of minimizing the leakage of a passcode, by displaying the passcode only when required, and by preventing displaying of the passcode in the other cases.

SOLUTION: The portable terminal can have a built-in IC card having tamper resistance and has a screen. The portable terminal comprises an IC card interface for performing input/output to the IC card, a passcode acquiring means that directs the IC card to generate a passcode via the IC card interface and acquires the generated passcode, and a passcode display control means for performing control so that the passcode is not displayed on the screen of the portable terminal when the passcode acquired by the passcode acquiring means is delivered to another application and the passcode is not displayed on the screen of the portable terminal in the other cases.
