STAINLESS STEEL MEMBER FOR FUEL CELL

摘要

Disclosed is a stainless steel member for fuel cells which is used in a fuel cell or a cartridge for fuel cells. This stainless steel member for fuel cells has a magnetic permeability of 1,000-2,500, while having a value of chromium atom%/iron atom% in the outermost surface of not less than 3.0 and/or comprising a layer having a thickness of not less than 12 nm in terms of SiO₂ wherein the oxygen atom% is not less than 20%. By having such a constitution, the stainless steel member is capable of surely suppressing dissolution of metal ions even when it is in contact with an acidic content solution of a fuel cell.
