PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable endoscope apparatus capable of preventing damage of a light source unit due to increase in an internal pressure and testing airtightness of the light source unit after the assembling. SOLUTION: The portable endoscope apparatus is constituted of an endoscope body, and the light source unit 4 detachably attached to the endoscope body. The endoscope body and the light source unit 4 have airtight structures individually. The light source unit 4 has a valve mechanism 50. The valve mechanism 50 is opened when the internal pressure of the light source unit 4 increases. A ventilation connector for testing the airtightness of the light source unit 4 can be connected to the valve mechanism 50. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
