Releasable binding

The releasable ski binding has a support plate with front and rear boot holders (8,9) interacting in a useful position in keyed engagement with counter faces on the boots to secure same. The rear boot holders can be moved against an adjustable resistance of a second detent assembly uncoupled from the first into a release position and/or the front boot holders inside a predetermined rotational angular area of the support plate are locked without reaction to the resistance of the first detent device and are unlocked outside of the rotational area. The rear sole holders only release in the vertical direction.
