A method for developing a color of a copper material is provided to prevent contamination and corrosion of the copper material when the copper material is constructed as a construction material and to keep an initial constructed condition continuously, by prohibiting a stain of the copper material. A method for developing a color of a copper material includes a step of forming a hair line of a surface for the copper material(10); a step of performing a first oxidizing process after degreasing the surface of the copper material with the hair line(20); a step of performing a second oxidizing process which expresses colors and patterns after finishing the first oxidizing process and a washing process(30); and a step of performing a coating process to form a film to keep an oxidized layer after finishing the second oxidizing process.
