<p>A method and an apparatus for uplink data handling upon handover in a wireless communications system are provided to transmit RLC(Radio Link Control) SDUs'(Service Data Units) sequence number and missing numbers finally received in a target base station from a source base station, thereby increasing efficiency of handling packets which are unsuccessfully transmitted upon the handover. A message is transmitted from a source base station to a target base station(302). Values of missing sequence numbers and a sequence number of wireless link control service data unit where the message is finally received are represented(302). The target base station restores a reception state and a reception window of the source base station during handover. A radio link control entity of the target base station supports out-of-order transmission for its upper layer.</p> |
