PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for a car trim material excellent in glass free lightweight properties, recyclability and heat resistance, further improved in combustibility or sound absorbing characteristics and excellent in high temperature adhesion stability using a foamed laminated sheet based on a modified PPE resin, and a car trim material produced by molding the base material for the car trim material. SOLUTION: A single-layer skin material as a skin material becoming a design surface or a multilayered fiber on the back of an air permeable skin material is arranged on the foamed laminated sheet, which is produced by laminating a non-foamed layer comprising a thermoplastic resin on both sides of a foamed layer based on a modified polyphenylene ether resin, to obtain a base material for the car trim material and a car trim material having the above mentioned characteristics.
