PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the value of a cap by the repeated use of the cap of an insert for suspending a concrete product and to provide a method for simply attaching a cap to and detaching the cap from a cap mounting hole. SOLUTION: In the insert with a cap, the cap 5 is formed in a columnar, cylindrical or disc shape. The thickness of the cap 5 is so determined that the outer surface of the cap 5 becomes flush with the surface of a concrete product K or is positioned inside the surface of the concrete product when the cap 5 is mounted on a cap mounting hole 3. Projections 5a and 5a having a triangular or arcuate shape are provided to the leading end surface of the cap mounting hole 3 to be fitted in the slot 6a of a boss part 2d. By the structure of the insert, when the cap 5 is mounted on the cap mounting hole 3 the projections 5a and 5a ride on the base end surface of the boss part 2d to push up the cap 5 to the outside of the cap mounting hole 3 and a part of the cap 5 protrudes to the outside from the surface of the concrete product K.
