A recovery method and an apparatus of an embedded controller are provided to recover the embedded controller without changing a device when an unusual condition of the embedded controller is occurred by setting to a recovery mode according to a drive signal adding and RTC reset. A recovery method of an embedded controller includes the steps of: mounting a device for supplying power; applying a drive signal according to the device mounting(S10); examining whether RTC is reset or not if the drive signal is applied(S12); preparing a recovery mode of the embedded controller when the RTC is reset(S14-S18); and recovering the embedded controller(S20).
