A substrate for a flat display panel device, a fabricating method thereof, a flat display panel device using the same and a fabricating method of the flat display panel device are provided to increase a size of display device and improve thermal radiation by forming an anodized layer on a substrate. A substrate includes an anodized layer(104) and a metal selected from aluminum or magnesium. The anodized layer includes plural pores(106), and the pores are sealed with an insulating material(120) including resin or glass group. A metal thin plate having at least one of aluminum and magnesium is prepared, and then the anodized layer is formed on the metal thin plate. A photoresist is coated on the metal thin plate after the step of preparing the metal thin plate and before the step of forming the anodized layer. The photoresist is removed after the step of forming the anodized layer.
