An elevator device where a brake device is controlled by a brake control device. The brake control device has a first brake-control section for activating the brake device to emergency stop an elevator car when an abnormality is detected and also has a second brake-control section for reducing braking force of the brake device when the deceleration of the car is equal to or greater than a predetermined value when the emergency brake is activated by the first brake-control section. The second brake-control section controls the brake device independently of the first brake-control section. |
