PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the temperature rise in a casing after a stop by sufficiently cooling an engine in a short time period even though outside air temperature is high in stopping an engine. SOLUTION: A regeneration type gas turbine engine 1 accommodated in a casing 3 together with an electronic control means 2 is provided with a stop control method in which the temperature in the casing 3 is measured while continuing the rotational drive of a cooling fan 8 after the stop of a fuel pump. When the measured temperature exceeds a prescribed value, a compressor impeller 10 is rotatively driven with a starter motor 4 to circulate compressed air inside the engine, and stops the rotational drive of the starter motor 4 and cooling fan 8 thereafter. Even when outside air temperature is high, sufficient cooling is achieved in a short time period to suppress the temperature rise in a casing 3 after the stop. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
