PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound synthesis apparatus which can quickly correspond to a change of an arrangement pattern, is excellent in the uniformity of a synthesized compound, and can be down-sized, and to provide a substrate for synthesizing an organic compound. SOLUTION: This organic compound synthesis apparatus for synthesizing an organic compound containing one or more kinds of polymerizable repeating units is characterized by comprising a photosensitizer, a light irradiator for forming one or more sites electrically adsorbing a charged substrate containing reagents required for the synthesis of the organic compound, on the photosensitizer, a charged substance-developing device for forming a latent image of the charged substance on the photosensitizer, and a reaction reagent supply device for supplying reaction reagents required for a polymerization.
