A transdermal composition comprising a piroxicam-inorganic complex and a patch system comprising the same are provided to realize improvement of stability, dissolution property, solubility, dispersibility, flow characteristics, and transdermal permeation property of the piroxicam with preventing the recrystallization. A transdermal composition of piroxicam comprises 0.1-25 wt.% of a piroxicam-inorganic complex wherein piroxicam is inserted between interlayers of swelling clay such as silicate, 50-80 wt.% of an adhesive polymer material such as an acrylic based resin and 0.1-25 wt.% of an absorption promoting agent such as cetearyl ethylhexanoate, isopropyl myristate, polyethylene glycol-8 glyceryl linoleate and polypropylene glycol monolaurate. The transdermal patch system of piroxicam comprises the transdermal composition of piroxicam.
