<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an information processor to utilize a network apparatus over a fire wall even without setting a fire wall apparatus for every protocol utilizing communications with the network apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A remote machine 2 is connected to a local machine 1 through a VPN to acquire a VPN gateway function, thereby making the local machine 1 belonging to a network at the remote machine 2. If fire wall apparatuses 3A, 3B exist between the local and remote machines 1, 2, the local machine 1 can communicate with various network apparatus 6 connected to a LAN 4B at the remote machine 2 according to various protocols only by setting the fire wall apparatuses 3A, 3B so as to connect the local and remote machines 1, 2 through the VPN. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
