A hybrid set-top box for providing a multi-broadcasting service and a broadcasting service providing method are provided to receive all IP(Internet Protocol) broadcasting, terrestrial broadcasting, and air broadcasting including satellite broadcasting and offer a broadcasting service of a type selected by a subscriber. The first and the second broadcasting processing units(110,120) receive broadcasting signals of the first and the second kinds, demodulate the received broadcasting signals as A/V signals, and filter the demodulated A/V signals according to the quality of the broadcasting signals. The first and the second multiplexing units(130-1,130-2) transmit the A/V signals demodulated in the first and the second broadcasting processing units(110,120) to a digital TV according to a received control signal. A broadcasting control unit(140) transmits the transmission control signal to the first and the second multiplexing units(130-1,130-2) in order to transmit the A/V signal according to the broadcasting signal of the kind selected by a subscriber to the digital TV.
