<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image quality from being deteriorated, in particular, in high-definition video transmission by effectively utilizing communication bands of a plurality of transmission channels. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitting terminal periodically sends a packet for error rate measurement to all transmission channels and all transmission lines and measures an error rate. Contents to be transmitted are classified and a transmission channel of best transmission quality is assigned to contents which require real-time property and have a wide transmission band. Further, a required communication protocol is selected in accordance with a kind of contents and processing thereof is performed. Moreover, bands are assigned to contents of wide transmission band at a peak rate of transmission bands, and bands are assigned to contents of narrow transmission bands at an average rate of transmission bands. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
