PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely useful liquid paper container excellent in the transmittance barrier properties of an oxygen gas, steam, etc., avoiding the sealing failure, liquid leak, etc. accompanied by the occurrence of a pinhole, preventing the deterioration or the like of content and excellent in preservability, storage properties, etc. of the content. SOLUTION: The liquid paper container is formed using a laminated material which is constituted by successively laminating at least the outermost layer, a paper base material, an adhesive layer composed of two polyolefinic resin layers, a barrier layer, which is constituted by providing a gas barrier coating film, which is constituted by providing a vapor deposition film of an inorganic oxide and a gas barrier coating film comprising a gas barrier composition containing at least an alkoxide represented by the general formula: R<SP>1</SP><SB>n</SB>M(OR<SP>2</SP>)<SB>m</SB>and a polyvinyl alcoholic resin and/or an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer and obtained by polycondensation due to a sol-gel method on one side of a base material film and the innermost layer.
