The clip has two retaining arms (3, 4) that are connected with each other by a deformable joint (5) and are twistable against each other in such a manner that the arms arrive from an opening position, in which the arms have a larger distance to each other, to a closing position, in which the inner sides of the arms are converged in a stable manner. A closed bar forms sections (6, 7, 8, 9) in an area of the arms and the joint, where the sections are laid in parallel. The sections are merged into each other at the free ends of the arms, where the ends are opposite to the joint. An independent claim is also included for a set of ligature clips.
