PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a great push-in force to be obtained by using a weak force, and to enable the easy and sure loading with an ink cartridge when loaded with the ink cartridge. SOLUTION: This ink cartridge attachment/detachment device is equipped with a cam part 235 which is used for converting the turning of a lever arm 363 to the motion of a second predetermined stroke S2 required for the loading with the ink cartridge 211 in the state of being held by a cartridge holding means 210. The cam part 235 completes the shift of the means 210 by the second predetermined stroke S2, before the termination of the turning of the lever arm 363 in the loading with the ink cartridge 211, and maintains a position of the means 210 during the constant turning of the lever arm 363 to the termination of the turning from a stage before the termination.
