A block buffer for preventing the breakage of a block for pavement is provided to increase durability and to improve in appearance by paving the bottom of a footway, a roadway, a parking lot, a park, etc., and to prevent blocks for pavement from being damaged by external force by fixing buffer pins between blocks. Disclosed is a block buffer which includes a buffer pad(12) put between a block(11) and the ground to support the block and to absorb shock, and a buffer pin(13) fixed to the buffer pad and extended upward from the buffer pad between the block and the block to prevent a lateral collision of the blocks and to absorb shock. The block buffer enables to prevent the breakage of blocks by a lateral collision and to increase durability during or after construction by installing a buffer pad on the ground, paving blocks on the buffer pad and fixing buffer pins to the buffer pad between the blocks.
