<p>An automotive diesel engine has a fuel injection system. Fuel is fed from a fuel tank (10) via a reservoir (16) to the injector (18) via a first feed pump (12), a high-pressure pump (14) and a pressure regulator valve (22). The valve (22) regulates pressure within the fuel tank. A pressure sensor (24) determines the pressure at the fuel injector (18) and is positioned in the fuel line between the high-pressure pump (14) and valve (22).</p> |
