A collision energy absorptive steering system is provided to readily adjust a collision energy absorption amount applied to a driver by moving a steering wheel in an impact moving direction when a vehicle collision occurs. A collision energy absorptive steering system includes a support part(200), a plate band(201), a guide plate(202), a projection(203), a fixing hole(204), and an elongated hole(205). The support part is connected to a movable part moved in an impact moving direction. The plate band surrounds the support part and is hooked by the hook part at its center part. The guide plate has the elongated hole formed in the impact moving direction. The projection projects from an inner surface of the elongated hole to fix the guide plate to a vehicle body using the fixing hole formed at the guide plate. The plate band passes through the inner surface of the elongated hole formed at the guide plate in a friction manner.
