PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning tool in which a holder is easily inserted into/detached from a cleaning article and the inserted holder is stably fixed to the cleaning article. SOLUTION: A cleaning tool 1 comprises a cleaning article 10 having a part 15 to be inserted and a holder 20 inserted into the part 15 to be inserted for fitting the article 10 thereto. The part 15 of the article 10 to be inserted includes an abutting part 18 to be inserted between an opening part for insertion formed at one end and the other end of the article 10. The holder 20 includes a holding part 21, an insertion part 22 extending from the tip of the holding part 21, and a holding part 24 for holding the article 10 near the opening part for insertion. The insertion part 22 includes a holder abutting part 23 for allowing insertion until abutting against a part 18 to be abutted without substantially causing a problem and restricting further insertion from an abutting position where it abuts against the part 18 to be abutted. When the insertion part 22 is inserted into the part 15 to be inserted and the article 10 is held by the holding part 24, the movement of the article 10 between the holder abutting part 23 and the holding part 24 is substantially suppressed.
