Method for determination of instant of burr occurrence in friction units includes loading friction unit with simultaneous determination of characteristics by which one makes conclusion on instant of occurrence of burr in friction unit. As such characteristics one registers emission of signals of acoustic emission and instant of burr occurrence one determines by rate of increase of average power of registered signals of acoustic emission.
