PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which considerably reduces chances of bringing a skin of a wearer into direct contact with urine and a stool excreted by the wearer and effectively prevents the urine and the stool from being mixed by absorbing/retaining the urine and the stool excreted by the wearer while reliably separating them. SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1, equipped with an absorber 22, a top sheet 18, and a back sheet 20, is additionally equipped with a skin contact sheet 24 placed at the upper part of the top sheet 18 and a wall 48 for separating urine from stools which is provided in a space between the skin contact sheet 24 and the top sheet 18 and separates the space into the side of a front body 2 and the side of a back body 6. The skin contact sheet 24 has at least a part made of an air-permeable and water-shedding sheet and has a urine passing opening part 28b communicating with the space on the side of the front body 2 and a stool passing opening part 28a communicating with the space on the side of the back body 6.
