PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fittings capable of improving the aesthetic appearance of a shoji-screen. SOLUTION: A connection part 532 extending from an operation member 53 and connected to a retractable member 52 and a coiled spring 34 are disposed parallel with each other in the retractable direction. The horizontal face dimension of a base member 51 can be formed smaller than in the case when they are disposed in series. Therefore, a latch device 50 is not visually extended to a top rail 31 side.
