PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drilling a glass sheet surface, capable of forming an alignment mark with a uniform outline excellent in constancy of shape. SOLUTION: In the method for drilling the glass sheet surface, a rotating drill having a tapered part TP at its tip is pressed onto the glass sheet surface. Here, the rotating speed of the drill is set to≥8,000 rpm, and a non-penetrating hole is formed only by the TP at the tip of the drill. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
