<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any erroneous recognition from being generated even when a remote controller is rotated by calculating coordinates even when any corner is not present in an imaging range. <P>SOLUTION: In this pointing device for photographing a screen by a remote controller on which a camera is mounted, light emitting parts are arranged at a plurality of positions, and the light emitting parts are made to flash in a predetermined timing, and the screen is photographed by a remote controller side camera.
