PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color which can form coating films having spot patterns. SOLUTION: This color contains water-containing gel particles for forming spot patterns in coating films. The gel particles comprise agar containing a colorant, a dispersing agent and water. The gel particles comprise several kinds of gel particles containing different colorants, respectively. The shapes of the gel particles are at least one shape selected from the group consisting of heart shape, star shape, triangular shape, round shape, indeterminate shape, rhombic shape, spade shape, arrow shape, musical note shape, character shape, and letter shape.
