PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device which can be made compact without lowering radiation efficiency of an electromagnetic wave and suitable to compact radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: The antenna device of the present invention is equipped with a ground conductor plate, two first conductor rods provided perpendicularly to a surface of the ground conductor plate, and a second conductor rod crossing the two conductor rods at right angles, wherein an end of one of the first conductor rods perpendicular to the ground conductor plate is connected to the ground conductor plate, and the ground conductor plate has two or more gaps which reach an inner side of the conductor plate from an outline in plane view of the ground conductor plate and do not part the ground conductor plate, and ends of those gaps and the end of the one conductor rod connected to the ground conductor plate are present within a circle of 1/4 wavelength of an operating frequency under a vacuum.
