PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact lens for digital image acquisition which has a compact configuration with a fixed focal length or variable focal length for digital image acquisition. SOLUTION: The compact lens with a fixed focal length for digital image acquisition has two or three refractive optical elements 1 to 3 and at least one diffractive optical element 5, 6 for imaging incident light onto a detector array 21, and at least one diffractive optical element 6 is provided on a refractive optical element 1 to 3, wherein the refractive optical element of the lens is provided as a compound lens having a first lens element 1 made of a glass or optical ceramic with a first refractive index and a second lens element 2 made of a plastic with a second refractive index which is smaller than the first refractive index and the first lens element 1 is located on a beam path in front of the second lens element 2 and on a light entry side of the lens.
