<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technology of highly accurately adjusting a resist by forming satisfactory resist pattern images even when starting a color mode after a monochrome mode. <P>SOLUTION: Before the resist pattern images RP(C), RP(M), RP(Y) and RP(K) are formed, sample pattern images SP(C), SP(M), SP(Y) and SP(K) that have a width SL greater than the width RL of the resist pattern images in a conveyance direction D16 are formed on an intermediate transfer belt. By forming sample pattern images in such a manner, a developing roller is rotated before the formation of the resist pattern images, thereby decreasing a nonuniform state of a toner layer held on the surface of the developing roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
